This was a project between the University of Johannesburg and IOM, and the aim was to get students to design communication that can raise awareness about migration in South Africa.
Our idea was to question the stereotype around migrants in South Africa, that "you can tell that someone is a migrant..." which was quite surprising when people say that. The idea was to challenge how the people in Johannesburg treat issues around migration, and the recent xenophobic attacks we have experienced. Working in groups we found it necessary to refer to South Africa's political past, which was ugly, but the aim is to educate about migration being part of life. But the campaign intends on allowing people to inspect themselves and interrogate themselves on how they interact with  migrants from neighbouring countries.
